The Simple Modern Promise
We are proud to stand behind all our products. Every Simple Modern product is made in accordance with high quality and safety standards. And we take our product performance seriously, which is why we offer a limited lifetime warranty covering any manufacturer’s defects as described herein.
What is covered?
Our products are warranted to be free from manufacturing defects in material and workmanship at the time of the initial purchase. Simple Modern will repair or replace at its discretion any manufacturing defect in its products for the life of the product.
The following is a representative sample of items covered by Simple Modern’s Limited Lifetime Warranty. Please read the following before submitting a claim.
- Broken Lids: If the lid on any of your bottles or tumblers breaks or you notice a leak, please follow the steps to initiate a claim. A lid is considered faulty if it is marketed as leak proof but still leaks at the opening or if it leaks around the threads of the bottle. A lid is also defective if it will not thread on smoothly and completely.
- Insulated vessels that have lost their insulating properties: Simple Modern stands by the vacuum insulation of its stainless-steel vessels for the life of the product. While it is rare for vacuum insulation to fail, it can occur. If the vacuum insulation has failed, the temperature of the contents inside the vessel will impact the temperature of the outside of the vessel. For example, hot content inside the vessel will make the outside of the vessel hot. Conversely, ice cold content inside the vessel would make the outside of the vessel cold.
To test the integrity of your vessel’s vacuum insulation, fill the vessel with very cold ice water on a warm day. Wait up to 2 hours and check to see if any part of the outside of your vessel develops condensation. If condensation forms on the outside of your vessel, the vacuum insulation has failed. Please note that testing the time the content inside of your vessel remains hot or cold is not a sufficient test, as there are many variables that can impact the time it takes for content inside the vessel to change temperature.

- What do I do if my product gets rust? Depending on what a customer puts in the product, a product can develop rust or other discoloration after usage. Before contacting Simple Modern, follow the cleaning instructions (Here) to remove the rust or other discoloration. Proper cleaning will usually solve the problem. If the issue persists, contact Simple Modern to see if you are eligible for product replacement.
- Bags with ripped stitching or fabric, broken zippers or clips, detached handles or other components: If your backpack, tote, cooler, lunch bag or other textile product arrives with ripped fabric, unconnected stitching or a broken zipper, it will not function properly. If you have one of these issues, please contact Simple Modern to discuss your replacement options. Ripped stitching or fabric, broken zippers or clips, or detached handles or other components that develop after you have been using a product for one year are deemed normal wear and tear and not to have been caused by a manufacturing defect.
- Warped, unattached or non-functioning plastic or silicone parts on tumblers, bottles and other products: If your tumbler, bottle or other product has warped, unattached or non-functioning plastic or silicone pieces, please contact Simple Modern to discuss your options.
- Products that arrived damaged: If your product arrives dented, scratched, torn or otherwise broken from the shipping process or otherwise, please follow the steps to initiate a claim. Please note, however, that we will not replace your product if you have used it.
What our warranty does not cover?
- Our warranty does not cover general wear and tear, dents or scratches, powder coating chips from being dropped or damaged, damages cause by improper use or cleaning, damage caused by use inconsistent with the product’s unintended use, damage caused by post-purchase modifications to the product (for example, engraving, accessories etc.), abuse, misuse or neglect.
- Lost or stolen products are not covered by the warranty.
- Fake or counterfeit products.
- There are no express warranties other than this Limited Lifetime Warranty set forth herein. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES, WHETHER FOR BREACH OF WARRANTY, BREACH OF CONTRACT, NEGLIGENCE, OR OTHER TORT THEORY, OR ANY STRICT LIABILITY THEORY, WILL SIMPLE MODERN BE LIABLE FOR ANY INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ALLEGEDLY CAUSED BY A SIMPLE MODERN PRODUCT. ADDITIONALLY, ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR ANY PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ARE LIMITED BY THE TERMS OF THIS LIMITED LIFETIME WARRANTY.
Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, and the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation(s), as applicable, may not apply to you.
The warranty is only available in the United States and Canada. No reseller, agent or employee is authorized to make any modification, extension or addition to this warranty.
Please note that if your Simple Modern product is eligible for a replacement then your replacement will be the same size and color of your purchased product. If your product is not currently available, then your replacement will be of similar size and color. Please note that Simple Modern also cannot always provide exact replacements for bespoke ornamentations or other limited run designs.
How do I initiate a claim when I have an issue with my Simple Modern product?
Please send the following information to [email protected] when initiating a claim:
- order number,
- shipping address,
- specific product details,
- proof of purchase, and
- issue you are experiencing.
*Note: Keep the product in your possession for the duration of your warranty claim, as photographs or other information may be requested to review your claim.
Is the warranty dependent on who bought the product and where it was purchased?
The limited lifetime warranty applies to products bought online or in stores through authorized resellers in the United States. This limited lifetime warranty only extends to the original, end-user purchaser in the United States. At this time, Simple Modern also is not able to return or replace items to customers located outside of the United States and Canada. For orders more than $40 CAD, however, Canadian residents may have to pay an additional customs duty.
Once a claim is processed, it will take up to two weeks for the replacement product to be delivered.
